  • Individual Psychotherapy

We believe in a non-traditional experiential approach to deep emotional healing that combines the best elements of various healing disciplines including inner child work therapy, Body Centered Gestalt therapy, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the Enneagram personality tool, guided imagery and meditation practices, Neuro-Linguistic Programming technique (NLP), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), coaching and bodywork.

This non-traditional approach to deep emotional healing directly tackles the underlying emotional and bodily roots of symptomatic issues such as depression, anxiety, addictions, compulsions, eating disorders and weight concerns, as well as the above-mentioned therapeutic concerns. Our therapeutic approach is based upon the idea that in order to heal, we have to deal with all those feelings that we cut off a long time ago because they were too painful to deal with at that time in our lives. By their very nature, children are limited in their ability to cope with emotional pain, and because of this will often split off from or minimize their feelings if they are too intense or chronic. We use right-brain techniques to access these unresolved feelings, things like art, music, guided imagery, bodywork, and movement, just to name a few. These tools are used specifically because they are the only techniques that truly have the capability to take us directly where we need to go to heal fully, once and for all: to our feelings, and to the source of this old pain, most of which exists outside of our conscious awareness but is primarily responsible for keeping us stuck in our present-day lives in some way.
